Yves Saint Laurent Le Teint Touche Éclat foundation review

YSL le teint touche éclat is a foundation which i was dying to try from the first time i heard about it. I purchased this foundation a few months ago, and it was love at first use. This foundation is the partner to the YSL touche eclat radiant touch highlighting pen, and boasts the same weightless, flawless, illuminating properties. This foundation to me, is far more impressive than the pen counterpart.

This foundation has medium, build-able coverage with a gorgeous, radiant, dewy finish. My favourite method of blending in this foundation is with my real techniques expert face brush. The illuminating formula means that you're not left with a two dimensional face, but instead your dimensions and contours are left defined rather than hidden. This unique finish means although the coverage is very good, it looks very natural and blends beautifully into the skin. I also find that i don't need to use as much concealer when i use this foundation, as its great hiding any pigmentation or redness, which is always a plus. I love this foundation for days where my skin is looking particularly dull, or i'm going somewhere special and want my skin to look flawless. This foundation contains SPF 19, so isn't the best for flash photography, but for all other occasions i would highly recommend it. One thing i do find with this foundation is that you need to leave it to 'settle', so i always move onto my brows before concealing and powdering.
(wearing the foundation with only bobbi brown tinted eye brightener under eyes)

I have normal/dehydrated skin, and i don't find this drys my skin out or makes it look particularly oily, but i do have to powder if i want it to last on my skin. When powdered, i find this foundation can last a good 8 hours on the skin, and with a primer even longer. If you have oily skin, i don't think this would be great for you, as you'd need to powder often which would defeat the object of being radiant. If you have dry skin, i'd definitely check this out. Priced at £29, this foundation is by no means cheap, but the luxurious packaging combined with a finish like no other foundation I've tried, i'd definitely say it's worth it. Bare in mind a dewy finish is my favourite kind of finish, so if you aren't one to go all out on the glow, you might not find this so amazing. This foundation is a firm favourite of mine, and i'm definitely thrilled that i got it.

Yves Saint Laurent Le Teint Touche Éclat foundation is available on feel unique and all YSL counters.
