Clarins instant light natural lip perfector 06 'rosewood shimmer'

The clarins instant light natural lip perfectors were something i disregarded at first, as i usually opt for a matte lip. A few months ago i received a sample of one in a gift with purchase, and since then I've been converted.
I have the shade 06 'rosewood shimmer' which is a dark beige nude, although on my lips it does not come out as dark as when swatched. All the shade are described as 'shimmers', but don't let that put you off, as i have not tried a shade yet that contains any shimmer what so ever. This description may reflect the flattering light reflecting quality they seem to posses, which make lips appear full and glossy.

I usually have very dry lips, so throwing one of these on conceals any dryness and gives my lips a dose of hydration. The applicator makes them easy to throw on on the go, even without the aid of a mirror. I tend to wear 06 on its own or over nudes as it's quite opaque compared to the others so leaves a nice tint to the lips. I also have the shade 03 which is a lighter, peachy nude shade which gives the lips dimension rather than colour.

The clarins lip perfectors all have a lovely sweet scent to them, similar to maple syrup which i love. They have a thick glossy texture which is luxurious to use, and they are by no means sticky like other glosses. You can tell that these lip products really moisturise the lips as even once worn off my lips feel much better than before. As they are glosses they don't last for the longest of times and won't last through eating, but i find i can go a couple of hours without reapplying. Priced at £17 they are quite expensive, but i find myself reaching for them a lot and i always have one in my handbag so they are definitely worth it. Even if you don't usually like glosses, try these out at least, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Clarins instant light natural lip perfectors are available at all clarins counters. you can find clarins at boots, debenhams, house of fraser, selfridges and john lewis
