After longing for these boots for a year, i'm so happy to be able to say they are finally mine. Thanks to Vestiaire Collective, i managed to nab these boots for £300 compared to their usual price tag of £650. Considering they're brand new, thats a pretty good saving if you ask me! With my legs being quite short and slim, its quite hard for me to find knee high boots which don't look ridiculous and baggy. I always knew these would be the perfect boots for me, but i could never bring myself to purchase them full price (ok so i probably would have caved eventually). I'm so glad i now have them, and i know i'll get soooo much use out of them this autumn/winter!

STYLE DIARY 21.10.15 | Meet My Chloe Faye.

Here's a purchase i have been very very excited about. It was love at first sight with this one. I'm not usually one to splurge on clothing or accessories (I think the most expensive piece of clothing i owned before this was my All Saints coat which i purchased with 20% off), so it wasn't something i even considered purchasing at first. However i kept looking at it, and the first birthday of my brand Oh So Lovely Intimates passed, so i thought what better time to treat myself to my dream bag.

So on friday about a month ago, i headed up to london to pick up my very own Chloe Faye. I very nearly went for the smaller version in Caramel (which is equally as dreamy), however i knew this one would get a lot more use, and be a lot more practical size wise. After all, if you're spending this much on a bag, you want to be able to use it every single day. I still have a little bit of guilt for spending so much on one thing, but its not often i treat myself, and i definitely feel like i deserve it for how hard i've worked. Now i haven't written this post to brag, i'm just ridiculously excited, and i love reading posts from others like this. Seeing people succeed truly puts a smile on my face. And i mean, who doesn't love looking at beautiful bags! To even things out, i thought i'd share with you these amazing boots i picked up in the topshop sale. They were reduced from £135 to TEN POUNDS. Crazy!

A Nude Pout | Nude Lipstick & Liner Favourites

Nude lips are something i've loved since i first started getting into makeup. Of course it all started with the concealer lips, and slowly but surely i've found shades which suit my skin tone perfectly. Most days i'll throw on a slightly glossy, sheer nude, but on days where i'm wanting a full face of makeup and a bold nude pout, i'll opt for these products.

For Liner, i will go for either the Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk (if i'm just lining my lips lightly) or Mac Lip Liners in either Whirl or Spice (if i'm wanting to overline my lips for a bold nude lip). The CT is lighter in colour and more pink toned, perfect for evening out your lips and sharpening up the line ready for your lipstick. The Mac liners are both darker in colour, verging on brown but still in a natural lip colour way, making them perfect for overlining and filling in your lips to make them look full and to make them stand out as the focal point of your makeup look. They are both currently in stock on selfridges, which is rare, so i'd pick them up before they're gone again!

Lipstick wise, i'm always rotating out these ones. For Mac Lipsticks, i love Half 'n' Half for a more matte lip, or Modesty for a slightly darker, more sheeny lip. Both are beautiful in formula and colour. The First is more of a true nude, and slightly lighter in colour. Its matte and very opaque, however it is not drying at all - it has a slight butteryness to it which makes the finish look more natural and means it won't dry out your lips. Modesty is slightly more pinky brown, and it has a sheen to it with less of an opaque finish, although you can definitely build it up. I tend to pair modesty with Whirl, and Half 'n' Half with Spice. If i want to go for a different brand, the Nars satin lip pencil in Isola Bella or the Hourglass Femme Nude lipstick in no.6 are both favourites. The Nars is more of a peachy-brown nude, and the hourglass more of a true nude.

Nude lips are perfect all year round, and investing in a few favourites means i have colours on hand no matter my current skintone. Let me know your favourites!

Fitness | Getting Back The Motivation or Starting Off Your Journey


After a 3 month break from the gym, i thought it was about time i got back on track, especially with my holiday coming up. I've definitely lost a lot of the muscle i built during the time i was at the gym, and gained a little fluff around my stomach. So i'm giving myself a 5 week challenge, where i'll be stepping it up a notch and really focusing on a routine at the gym, and sticking to my macros with only a few days off. Week one complete and things are going well! Once you stop its so easy to give up, and its even harder to start again the longer you leave it. With my business, travelling around the country, being ill and other life things going on, things just kept getting in the way and i kept saying 'i'll start next monday.' Now that i'm determined to get back on track and on my road to fit again, here are my top tips for staying motivated at the gym.

START NOW // Don't wait until tomorrow, or until monday. If you keep putting it off, you will always find something more important to do or something will get in the way. Trust me, i put it off for 3 months! Even if you don't have a gym membership or healthy food in the fridge, starting right now gives you time to prep. You can order a food shop online, write a shopping list or if you have time, go pick up the food right away. And signing up for a gym membership these days is so easy, with most gyms allowing you to register online.

YOU DONT NEED A GYM // Although having a gym membership is a huge help, if you can't make it to the gym that day, or a membership isn't in your budget, there are some great ways you can work out at home or outside. Investing in a yoga mat and some dumbbells means you can easily squeeze in a half hour workout at home or in the park.  There are some great high intensity low weight workouts available online you can do, which give amazing results.

DONT EXPECT RESULTS IN A WEEK // Whether you've had some time off, or this is a brand new journey for you, you won't see results in just a few visits. Stick at it, and changes will come. If you've just had a little while off, you'll be surprised at how quickly you'll get back in shape, but it still won't be overnight. Give it a few weeks and you'll start to feel and see results.

DONT OVERWORK YOURSELF // Setting goals of going to the gym 5-6 times a week is great, but only if its plausible. If you can only viably fit in 2-3 days, then stick to that. If your goals seem unobtainable and out of reach, then you won't stick to it. I know when i used to set goals of going 4 days a week, i'd feel so demotivated if i could only achieve 3. And remember, if you can fit in an extra day, you'll feel great!

HIRE A PERSONAL TRAINER/ COACH // Hiring a personal trainer in the gym, or working with a coach online, will really help you to stick at it. When theres someone there telling what you should be doing, its a real motivator as 1. It would really suck to disappoint them and 2. You're paying for it so you don't want to waste the money! They will also introduce exercises you may never have thought to include, or put you on a food programme which you may not have been able to stick to without that extra push from them.

SET GOALS & TAKE PROGRESS PICTURES // Setting realistic goals, and larger goals, will help to keep you motivated. For example, my goals are to go to the gym 3 days a week, stick to my macros 6 days a week, grow my legs/glutes and try to lose some fat/ gain definition around my stomach. Other goals are to try and improve my strength in squats and hip thrusts. Appearance related goals are great, but you should also try to see fitness as a heath/ strength thing too!

A HEALTHY DIET IS IMPORTANT TOO // You'll find everything so much easier, and the results will come a lot quicker, if you make sure your diet is on point too. That doesn't mean cutting out carbs or sticking to 100% clean foods (unless you're into that then go ahead!), but just making sure you're eating foods full of nutrients which will nourish and fuel your body, and making sure you're eating just the right amount - not too much, and not too little. Personally for me i like to track my macros on My Fitness Pal. It helps to keep me on track and that way, i can be sure i'm not going under or over. Everyones macros will be different, but i suggest eating 1g of protein per 1lb of body weight and then i just play around with my fats and carbs until i find the levels which work for me. I use this website tool ( to work out my daily calories, and then input that on My Fitness Pal and use their tool to guess what my macros should be. I'm no expert and one day i will most definitely hire a coach to work out my macros, but if you're just starting out i don't think its 100% necessary.

Hopefully these tips have helped you, it really can be hard staying motivated with fitness, but it really is worth it. I know i'll be looking back at this blog post when things get tough!

The Morning Ritual | Easy Steps To Energise, Ease Digestion & Minimise Bloating

These Past 5 months i've been on a bit of a health kick. The whole fitness lifestyle never appealed to me before, but suddenly something switched and i'm loving working out and eating healthier. Regardless of eating mostly healthy and tracking my macros, i do still find i get bloated, especially if i've eaten more naughty foods that day or eaten late. With my busy days, i can sometimes also lack energy, and rather than drinking a million cups of coffee, i wanted to find some other ways to improve my energy levels. I did a little research and found a few ways to increase my energy levels naturally, along with helping to minimise bloating and ease digestion. I've been following these steps each day and i've seen such a difference in my energy levels, and reduced bloating throughout the day.

1. DRINK A CUP OF WARM LEMON & GINGER WATER BEFORE BREAKFAST. I find that drinking this instead of tea or coffee gives me a much better energy boost with no crash, and helps to line my stomach ready for my meal. The lemon helps to detox your system, aiding digestion and the elimination of waste. Lemon also contains a range of vitamins and minerals including vitamin C, vitamin A and iron, along with helping to boost your immune system. The ginger also helps with digestion, along with reducing inflammation, helping nausea and helping with things such as muscle soreness and period pains. Result! It can also help to reduce the risk of more serious health issues such as Cancer, Alzheimer's, high cholesterol and heart disease. A lot to take in, but basically - drink it, you'll feel way better!

2. EAT HALF A GRAPEFRUIT WITH YOUR BREAKFAST. Grapefruit is great for many reasons. Half a grapefruit contains over 60% of your daily recommended vitamin A & C intake, along with containing many other vitamins and minerals. Due to the high water and fibre content (they're 91% water!), they can also help with hydration and digeston. They are also a great antioxidant, and can help to reduce the risk of many health conditions. All of this along with increasing energy, supporting clear and healthy skin, and helping with weight loss makes them a no brainer food to start your morning with!

3. DRINK GREEN TEA THROUGHOUT THE DAY. Okay so this one isn't exactly a morning ritual, but i try to drink 2-3 cups of green tea throughout the day, after eating. Try not to put any sugar in it, if anything, add in a little honey or lemon! Green tea contains a large number of antioxidants which are important for protecting your body from cell damage which can lead to ageing and disease. It can also help to increase brain function, boost your metabolism and overall improve your health, helping you to live longer! Drinking this after eating helps me to feel less bloated and ensures i don't get sleepy after a big meal. I also find it can actually help to take away my sweet cravings, but this is not a proven fact haha!

I would 100% recommend everyone to include these steps in their morning/ daily ritual, regardless of wether you are into health and fitness or not. You'll feel so much better, and feel less need to rely on the coffee! Let me know how you get on!

Khaki Lovin...

Khaki is a colour which i've been loving more and more recently. It seems to work so well during both summer and winter, and this playsuit is the perfect way to inject some khaki into your wardrobe. Off shoulder pieces are a current fave as they mean you can show a little skin without it being too sexy, and playsuits are just so easy to throw on without thinking. Paired with a lightweight knit, some dainty jewellery and summery boots, you have my perfect summer throw-on outfit.

A thing for stripes...

Stripes are a long term obsession of mine. It started with t-shirts and has now expanded to include pretty much any type of clothing. This striped two piece from zara is just too cute, and the perfect way to rock the two piece trend in a stand out way, whilst still being comfortable. Sleeveless tops aren't usually my thing, as lacking in the boob department means i spend half my time pulling them up. This one is great though as its elasticated at the top meaning no falling down, wahoo! Another great thing is that the shorts are high waisted, and the top had an angled peplum, meaning that this duo would be great for a summer dinner date as the food baby would be successfully concealed...All in all, a winning set!
