2015 was the year i discovered fitness. I was fully into it and loved the lifestyle, but then my business really took over and i slowly but surely fell out of the healthy routine i was in. Now that its 2016, there have been an abundance of new years resolutions posts and videos cropping up online, and they really have motivated me. I've realised that having your own business means you'll always be super busy, and so therefore i need to learn to work around it. I thought i'd touch on my fitness goals here, and how i'm planning to achieve them:

  • PRACTICE YOGA // I never thought of yoga as something i would ever do, but after reading more about it, i've realised its something which would be great for me and my lifestyle. I'll still be going to the gym, but a couple of yoga sessions a week at home in my lounge with a youtube video on the tv is my aim. I definitely need to improve my flexibility and balance, so i'm hoping taking up yoga will improve these things and also help to clear my mind and help me relax.
  • GET BACK INTO THE GYM // I'm not really into cardio so the gym is where i always work out. I'm aiming to go 3 times a week (2x lower body days & 1x upper body/abs day). I focus on weight training with a short cardio session at the end. So far so good! Once i've been back at it for a little while i'm thinking to upload some fitness videos to my youtube if you're interested?
  • EAT BETTER FOOD // Being busy with work meant i found myself snacking on chocolate and empty calorie foods rather than taking the time to prepare wholesome foods and snacks, and then christmas worsened this habit. I had a huge clear out of my cupboards the other week to get rid of all the rubbish, and then placed a big healthy food order from tesco to replenish. We are few food ships down since then and so far, so good. The only treats i've bought have been healthier alternatives which aren't all that bad for you. I'm writing a separate post all about this but i think keeping my cupboards stocked with good food is the first step to staying on track. I'm going to continue tracking my macros as i did last year but i'm going to make sure that i'm actually eating wholesome foods rather than just foods with the right macro breakdown.
So they're my current fitness goals. Of course i have larger goals such as a bigger butt, a smaller waist and a more defined stomach, but these are more long term goals. It's always good to have smaller, more achievable goals to keep you on track. Let me know your goals for 2016!

Thank you to BooHoo for providing me with this outfit and a motivational kit to kick my ass into gear.

Ok so before i begin - please try and ignore how messy my hair is! Hating the wind at the moment, and the warm tone of my hair doesn't help (change coming soon...). Anyway, I realised after moving into my flat and unpacking all of my clothes, than i was lacking any black knitwear. Which is surprising considering black is my favourite colour to wear in the winter. I immediately went on the hunt for a stable black knit, but realised they are actually pretty difficult to find - probably why i didn't have one! I ended up finding this one when trawling through the Topshop website one evening. It was a little expensive but the best one i'd seen so i thought i'd order it and give it a go. When it arrived i just knew i had to keep it! The fit is perfect, slouchy but not too oversized, the v neck is the perfect depth and the knit is one of the softest i own. I love that its got the white stripe around the neckline, i think it makes it quite versatile in what you can pair it with. Ive gone for a casual slouchy look today and paired it with my ripped jeans from BooHoo, i lived in these jeans throughout autumn and although its a little cold for them now, i can get away with them as long as i bundle up on my top half. To stop me from looking too short and scruffy i added my favourite topshop boots. They can be dressed up or down but i find they really finish off an outfit - look at that heel! Minimal accessories, just my leather jacket and Calvin Klein backpack as its perfect for carrying my camera, planner and other essentials on work days. Now off for a day of errands!

Etsy Haul | Prints & Notebooks

A new year means new planners & notebooks (along with other important things, of course). This year i'm aiming to be as organised as possible, in my work life, blogging and personal life. I find that writing things down really helps to clear my head and minimise stress, as i can see exactly what i have to do, and when. I took to Etsy for some cute notebooks, as i knew all the small independent brands would have some amazing designs. I immediately searched for marble notebooks as i knew this was a print i wanted, and i stumbled across C J Designs. I loved the designs so much that i bought two - one for blogging, one for youtube. The quality of these notebooks is amazing! I'm really impressed considering they aren't too expensive. The cover material is a soft thick card which feels sturdy, with the beautiful prints which look really high quality. The lined pages are perfect for writing notes and lists. I'd definitely recommend these if you are looking for some new notebooks, you can purchase them here and here.

If you follow me on Instagram and Youtube (if not, you should be) then you'll know that i moved out at the beginning of December. I picked up most of my home things either before i moved or pretty soon after, but i'm still adding in things and making changes here and there. Other than furniture, cushions and throws the flat is pretty bare, so i decided to invest in some prints. I ordered some downloadable ones which i will share in a later post, but i absolutely had to have this one from Skandi Design. Now it was a little expensive but its hand printed and feels amazing quality. The frame itself is from Ikea as the print comes in a tube, however i do like this as it means you can choose whichever frame colour or style that you like. This quote is so perfect for me and my boyfriend as it pretty much sums up our day to day life haha. You can pick up this print here if you're interested, or click here for a link to all of their gold foil prints! I've got my eye on the 'less is more' corner printed one.

I'm really looking forward to expanding my blog and including more home posts now that i have my own space. But first i think i need to paint the awful cream walls in my lounge, ugh!
